Zigzag Tutorial

This bracelet is really cool! It looks great with any color combination and can have as many strings as you want.

Supplies
Six pieces of embroidery floss. Blue, red, orange, green, yellow, and cream.

Step 1
Start you bracelet anyway you want and set up your strings like a candystripe. For this tutorial, the setup will be blue, red, orange, green, yellow, and cream. (b,r,o,g,y,c)

Step 2
Take the blue string and make forward knots over the red, orange, green, yellow, and cream strings. Order should now be r,o,g,y,c,b

Step 3
Countinue making rows of forward knots (forward candystripes) with the other colors until your order returns to the original setup. (b,r,o,g,y,c)

Step 4
Take the cream string (c) and make backward knots over the strings yellow, green, orange, red, and blue strings. order should now be c,b,r,o,g,y

Step 5
Continue making backward knots (backward candystripes) with all the other colors until your order returns to the original setup. (b,r,o,g,y,c)

Step 6
Continue steps 2-5 until your bracelet is the desired length.
note: the only colors that will have two stripes in a row are the cream and blue strings. these strings are the ones that start off the forward candystripes and the backward candstripes. blue will always be the begining of a forward candystripe and the end of a backward candystripe. cream will be the beginning of a backward candystripe and the end of a forward candystripe.
